A globe valve is a type of valve that changes the cross-sectional area of a channel by vertically lifting and lowering the valve disc to achieve opening, closing, and adjustment. The core lies in the valve stem driving the valve disc to move vertically along the centerline of the valve seat, and precisely controlling the flow rate by changing the distance between the valve disc and the valve seat, ultimately achieving complete shut-off. The main characteristics of globe valves are significant: excellent regulating performance, linear relationship between opening and closing height and flow rate, which facilitates precise control; The sealing surface has minimal wear, and there is no relative sliding between the valve disc and the valve seat during opening and closing; The work schedule is long, so the opening and closing speed is slow; The flow resistance is high because the fluid flows in an "S" shape inside the valve; The installation is directional and must follow the principle of "low in, high out", so that the medium pressure acts on the valve disc above when closing to assist in sealing.
