A check valve (also known as a check valve or one-way valve) is a type of valve that automatically opens and closes based on spring pressure, the weight of the valve plate, and the kinetic energy of the medium's own flow. Its function is to prevent the medium from flowing back, and it is an automatic valve. Except for hydraulic check valves, all other check valves do not have external control mechanisms and only allow one-way passage of the medium. When the medium flows forward, pressure pushes the valve disc (or spool) open; Once the flow stops or reverse flow occurs, the valve disc automatically closes under the action of its own weight, spring force, or reverse fluid, forming a seal. The main types of check valves are divided according to their structural principles: swing type, lift type, butterfly type (clamp type), and ball type. The main feature of a check valve is that it works automatically and does not require external operation, but it may generate a certain flow resistance. During installation, the flow direction of the medium marked on the valve body must be strictly followed and cannot be reversed.
