T-strainer
T-Type Filter (also known as T-type pipeline filter or three-way filter) is a critical in-line filtration device in industrial piping systems. Its core function is to efficiently remove solid particles, impurities, or sediments from fluid media without interrupting the process flow, thereby protecting downstream key equipment such as valves, instruments, and pumps from wear, clogging, or damage. Its structure is shaped like a "T," with the main pipeline serving as the straight-through flow path and the side branch as the filter cartridge cavity, housing a removable basket-type or wedge-shaped filter screen. When fluid enters the filter, impurities are trapped by the screen, while the cleaned medium flows out from the outlet. When accumulated impurities on the screen require cleaning, maintenance can be performed online without shutdown by opening the side branch flange or blind plate cover. Filters produced by KVC Valve Group are characterized by high flow capacity, low pressure drop, high dirt-holding capacity, and easy maintenance. Depending on the filter screen precision and medium characteristics, different materials and mesh specifications are available. They are widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, natural gas transmission, power generation, water treatment, and pharmaceuticals, typically installed upstream of pumps, instruments, and critical valve inlets.
