Pressure Gauge Needle Valve
Pressure Gauge and Flanged Needle Valve Models: GMJ11F / J19W / J29W / JJM1 / J41W / J44W / J91W
A pressure gauge needle valve is a small needle-type shut-off valve used in instrument piping systems. Its core function is to connect, shut off, or regulate the flow of media between a pressure gauge and the process pipeline. It is commonly used as an instrument root valve, drain valve, or sampling valve. Its name comes from the internal key component—the conical (needle-shaped) tip at the end of the valve stem. The valve body is typically forged from stainless steel (304/316) or carbon steel. The bottom of the valve stem is machined into a conical shape and precisely mates with the conical sealing surface on the valve seat. By rotating the handle, the valve stem moves linearly back and forth, controlling the annular gap between the conical tip and the valve seat, thereby achieving a wide range of flow control from fully closed, to micro-fine regulation, to fully open. The needle valves produced by Kaivex Valve Group are compact in structure and suitable for high-pressure (up to 6000 psi or even higher), high-temperature, or corrosive media environments. Because they can achieve extremely small and stable flow output, they are particularly suitable for overload protection and smooth pressure tapping in front of sensitive instruments such as pressure gauges, differential pressure transmitters, and level gauges. They are widely used in instrument tubing and valve assemblies in industries such as petroleum, chemical, electric power, and gas stations.
