GTD/E Series Pneumatic ActuatorOverview

The GTD/E series pneumatic actuator is an angular stroke execution unit utilizing a precision rack and pinion transmission mechanism, specifically designed for the automated control of various 90° rotation valves, such as ball valves, butterfly valves, plug valves, and dampers. Powered by compressed air, the actuator drives a central pinion via the reciprocating motion of dual pistons within the cylinder, outputting high-torque angular displacement. The GTD series is double-acting, utilizing air pressure for both opening and closing, while the GTE series is single-acting (spring return), utilizing built-in pre-compressed springs for fail-safe reset upon air supply loss. Renowned for its compact size, rapid response, high standardization, and long service life, the GTD/E series is widely applied in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental protection, and general industrial processes.

1. Compact dual-piston rack and pinion design:Utilizes a symmetrical dual-piston layout, which ensures extremely compact dimensions and highly balanced output torque. Compared to single-piston designs, the power output is smoother, effectively reducing internal mechanical stress.
2.Superior torque output efficiency:Precision-machined rack and pinion pairs ensure efficient conversion of mechanical energy. The torque output curve is smooth throughout the 90-degree stroke, easily overcoming the break-away torque required during valve unseating.
3.Flexible stroke adjustment functionality:Standardized with stroke adjustment bolts at both ends. Supports ±5° precise fine-tuning at both 0° and 90° positions to ensure perfect sealing alignment of the valve in fully open or fully closed positions.
4.Standardized accessory mounting interfaces:Top mounting holes comply with NAMUR standards, and bracket connections follow ISO 5211 and DIN 3337 specifications. This allows for direct installation of solenoid valves, limit switch boxes, and positioners with excellent interchangeability.
5.High reliability and corrosion resistance:Housings are typically made of anodized aluminum alloy or precision cast stainless steel, with pistons and bearings using low-friction synthetic materials. Surface treatments ensure stability in dusty, humid, and corrosive industrial environments.
6.Intrinsic safety and automatic reset:Single-acting models (GTE) utilize high-performance spring cartridges. In the event of sudden air loss or circuit failure, the valve rapidly returns to its preset safety position using mechanical spring energy.
7.Precision guiding and low friction loss:Wear-resistant guide rings are provided around the piston and rod to prevent direct metal-to-metal contact. This significantly reduces operating resistance, improves sensitivity, and extends service life.
8.Simplified modular maintenance:The robust design features few moving parts. Seals and guiding components are modularly arranged, allowing for rapid inspection and replacement without removing the main bracket, significantly lowering O&M costs.
