Overview
The Z11Y Female Threaded Forged Steel Gate Valve is a shut-off valve specifically designed for high-pressure, small-to-medium bore, and general industrial applications. It opens or closes the pipeline by rotating the handwheel to raise or lower the stem, which drives the gate vertically along the valve body centerline.
Its core design features a wedge-type flexible gate or solid gate structure, which effectively compensates for minor deformations of the sealing surfaces caused by temperature changes or pressure fluctuations, ensuring tight sealing surface contact and reliable shut-off when the valve is closed. The valve body is manufactured using an integral forging process and made of high-quality carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel. This eliminates casting defects, significantly enhances the density and strength of the body, and ensures long-term stable operation under high pressure, high temperature, and corrosive conditions.
The sealing pair utilizes a metal-to-metal hard seal design, with sealing surfaces hardfaced using wear-resistant alloys (such as Stellite, 13Cr, etc.) and precision-lapped. This provides high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and superior erosion resistance, capable of withstanding harsh conditions involving high temperature, high pressure, and particulate media.
The valve features a female threaded connection, using standard taper pipe threads (NPT, PT, BSPT, etc.) to screw directly onto the pipeline. This allows for quick and easy installation and convenient disassembly for maintenance, making it suitable for small-to-medium bore, high-pressure, and space-constrained industrial piping systems.
The valve is operated via a handwheel; turning clockwise closes the valve, and turning counterclockwise opens it. The rising stem design allows the valve opening position to be directly determined by observing the stem extension height, facilitating operation and maintenance.
